I'm a vegan wife and mother living in the Midwestern United States. I share my living space with my wonderful husband and son, two big dogs, a hamster, a parrot, and three fish!  I've always had a very strong connection to the Earth and all the wonderful creatures that share this planet with us.  I try to keep my life in balance by practicing yoga and meditation whenever possible, but between work and being the best parent and wife I can possibly be, I don't always have as much time for myself as I would like.  (I'm sure many of you women out there can relate!) 

My husband and I try to live as green as possible.  We don't consume or wear any animal products, and try to “vote with our dollars”   when we shop.  Buying organic and fair-trade goods, and shopping locally can make a huge difference!  I think it's important to support small local businesses whenever you can.

I enjoy hiking, reading, gardening….any outside activity makes me happy.  I love the change of seasons in this part of the country.  They're all brilliant in their own ways, but autumn is my favorite. 

I hope to meet many people here at Gaia that share my way of thinking.  Sometimes living in a small Midwestern city makes it feel like there is hardly anyone else out there like me!  




This world can be a better place if we work together, all it takes is a little effort and a lot of love.
